I put down my top about three weeks ago and it has always worked fine. I went to put up the top tonight and the seats went forward and stopped at the full forward position, then nothing but beeping. The top does not move or even try, no motor noises either.

Could this be a fuse? I looked and there are no fuses in the trunk or passenger footwells labeled for the top. Any ideas?

If there are absolutely no motor noises ............... then from what I recall there is indeed a fuse inside the center box where the fluid reservoire and pump are .......... just aft of the center console.

Took off the cover and the fuses are good. The motor is indeed turning. I used the emergency top switch and the top went up...although it seemed to struggle at some points. Could this be resivor fluid?

It might be a bad sensor, assuming you performed all of the steps (parking brake, etc.) If your door locks and alarm work, then the door sensors should be fine. I would check the potentiometers (see my thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=207662 ). There are also sensors in the drivers side latch receiver (where the top latches when it is up) and in the frame behind the seat (check the drawings at Ricambi for the exact location.) If all sensors check out, then it could be the ECU. The ECU is in the center box with the two fuses. I had to replace mine $$$$$.

I used the emergency switch and it is up. I then put it down and up several times and it worked great, perhaps just a switch was stuck.

    Thanks for your help!

I would suggest lubeing all the moving parts as well as checking the reservoir.
Sometimes the system works better when the engine is running.

this is not a rude answer and neither is it intended to be, BUT... there is another thread running about 348 Spiders and the need for a short handle that is used for raising and lowering the soft top... the fuse or fluid level or microswitch setting has ever caused a problem on my hood...anyone else.

sorry to hear about your woes and sincerely hope it all comes right soon.
