I took a trip to Aston Martin Dallas today to have something on my V8 checked out and was amazed to see a Spyker spyder on display. I jokingly asked if they were now a Spyker dealership as well, and the answer was yes!

This was the first one I have seen in person. It is a wild car with some beautiful craftmenship. The car they have is metallic silver with a dark red interior. I did not have my camera with me but will definitely bring it next time I am there.

Kurt and Cade are very nice people and I am sure that they would be pleased to show the car to those who are interested in seeing it. I am also sure that they would be even happier if you purchased one! Unfortunately, I would need a significant pay hike before I would qualify as a potential owner. It is good to have things to aspire to though.

Saw the Spyker listed in the Robb Report (As if they would know) as a top 20 finalist for their car of the year. Was very surprised to see the low weight figures and a true enthusiast bent to this car.
I'm going to go and at least see it in the flesh.

I personally think they are quite ugly. I got passed by one the other day, and it sounded amazing though. Also, on a recent trip to our local Spyker dealer, they had the new Spyker concept SUV on display, which is pretty cool.

Am I the only one who suspects that Spyker has more dealers than cars? It seems that every dealer in America has hung a Spyker sign on their door.

As for looks, the Spyker may be the most over-styled car in history. Fourteen year olds will love it, but that's about it. I'm waiting for the Spyker F-1 car to adopt the road car design philosophy. Engine turned instrument panels, tufted seats and chrome are on their way to a race track near you!

The Spykercars.com page only shows 13 North American dealers but I do not know how often it is updated so many more may now exist.

I must admit that I like the styling of both the exterior and the interior, although I agree that neither could be considered particularly tasteful. Both are excessive, in the tradition of many exotics over the years. The Spyker wouldn't qualify as a daily driver (no air bags for example) but would be a heck of a lot of fun to take out on the occasional beautiful weekend when one wouldn't mind attracting a lot of attention.

However, the Spyker SUV does not make a lot of sense to me. It will supposedly be capable of 200 MPH. I guess it will attract those who want to outdo the Cayenne turbo or new Lamborghini SUV owned by their neighbor.

I got to see the Spyker convertible in Bay Harbor, Michigan this summer. Very impressive............that is until I saw the window sticker. These people must be insane, there is no way this car will sell for around the $300k mark.

Silver does look great but I personally love the sharp contrast of the black/aluminum. I think that it really sets the style of the car apart from the rest. Yes yes, I know that it doesn't have that classy car appeal that Fcars possess, but top-dollar style is changing. How many times have you seen a Gallardo, Bentley GT, RR Phantom, or dare I say Fcar sitting on "bling-blingin'" 22+inch wheels? The same people that used to only be able to afford tricked-out Impalas and Monte Carlos now have the money to buy $200+K cars, this is where I think that Spyker will find its consumer base.

Went to check this car out on a rainy day.
Passed blood test at the door. Allowed entrance.
Salesperson eyes me as if to ask "can I make a sale today?".
    Passed... barely.
Checked out the car. No sit, no touch, here's a bib to prevent drool spots.
    Flash Gordon meets The Transformers.
Kind of neat in the "if I had an extra quarter mil sitting around and was bored, this is what I'd get" way.
    Very courteously kicked out.

I saw the same car at the same time as you! IMHO The spyker is one of the most beautiful cars on the road today. It brings timeless airplane inspiration back! Its interior is stunning, the quilting on the leather is crazy! The toggle swiches, the start-up procedure, and the Chrome trim complete the dutch machine. And the exhaust! Even though they are waste disposal units, I have never heard anything like it. It sounds like a superchaged pagani mixed with the gods of thunder. My dad went mad over the spyder version in bay harbour. But now he is on the list for the automatic la-turbe laviolette. Sometime mid next year he should be asked for a deposit.

Thats what I like about Las Vegas dealers. They allow us to go in and get very close to the cars, and don't bother us. As long as you don't touch the cars or become a nuisance, they are fine with you being in there. I'm 17, and have walked in, and had a salesman walk up to me and very politely ask if I needed assitance with anything, which kind of made my day.
