On the 355 it is very common for a weld to break on window regulator causing a rattle in the mechanism...there is a fix and you can search the archives to find the thread.

I had several loose screws in the lower part of the door panel, both sides. I have heard of this happening to others. Bought matching replacements at the hardware store and put them in with blue loctite, <$1. No more issues there.

When I got the car, the hose from the HVAC to the right front vent had come loose, and it rattled a little. Reached under the dash and clicked it back into place. My car is (currently) very tight.

I hate squeaks and rattles. But with patience you can almost always nail 'em. Helps to have someone else drive you around. Good luck!

I had this squeak that I couldn't find. Turns out it was the front bonnet latches. They needed adj. now all is well.

Tiny bit of grease on the front hood latches as well as the other areas will make a world of difference.

    BINGO!

I think the reason those welds bust is because of the rubbur bushing screws that are used to hold the motor to the regulator. The screws come out of the rubber molding, letting the regulator move, resulting in weekening the spot welds on the regulator = busted welds and rattling door. Or even worse a busted tube for the cable inside the tubing resulting in the window not going either up or down.

The fix is to remove the ragulator, reweld it, and check the condition of the stupid rubber screws. You can inspect the condition of the regulator by removing the outside door intakes. 4 allen bolts, 2 nuts, and its out. The door intake that is.

Thanks all. Everytime I bang my hand against the door I can hear the rattles. What about door clips? They always break when removing a door. Still getting a squeak in the right front corner. The hood latches?

Your going to have to start taking things apart to find it. At least you know it is in the door (assuming you greased the latches...)
