Hey guys I just got my "new" 360 on the road and everytime I break it squeaks very loud. The squeak starts the last 20% of the breaking "cycle" (low speeds only). Could it be that it still too cold to drive it in Canada? Any suggestions?

Remember that the squeak happens between the caliper piston abd the metal behind the brake pad not like everyone thinks that is between the disk and the pad.

    You will not thanks me enough after using this product;
    http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/CRC-4-oz-118-294-ml-high-temperature-disc-brake-quiet/_/N-268d?itemIdentifier=348169&_requestid=3687235

It help me a lot on my OEM brakes and my new big brake kit.

I did it at the front only. The car feels nice and no noise.

If you have the CCB (Carbon Ceramic Brakes) then squeaking is normal at low speeds and when your brakes are still cold!
If you have the stock steel brakes or an aftermarket steel big brake kit, then the "Quieter" will definitely help :)

    Important:

! ! ! I would not apply any "Disc Brake Quieter" or any other product on the CCBs,
because the additives may attack the surface and destroy the brakes (Cause Cracks) ! ! !

    By the Way:

! ! ! Also make sure that you wash your rims & brake calipers with CCB safe cleaners,
some rim and brake cleaners are CCB unsafe (Attack The Resin) ! ! !

    Greetz,

    Joseph

PS: This is how a CCB Disc can look like after using the wrong chemicals and fluids!
Very intense - Not for the faint of heart :D

There is no reason that the quiet agent touch the disk itself. The noise on braking is produced by the friction between the caliper piston and the metal plate located behind the pad.

My warning is just precautionary, I think that everybody must know how to deal with their CCBs before it is too late.
Unfortunately, I have seen and heard of disasters happen on the Track because of the lack of CCB knowledge!
Especially, 'cuz Ferrari, Lambo, Mercedes (i.e. SLS), Audi (i.e. R8), Porsche & Co. Salesmen do not warn their customers about such crucial matters :(

Thank you for your understanding ;) :)

Every high performance car I've had has had squeaky brakes, both steel as well as carbon ceramic. FWIW, the CCB on my F430 stopped squeaking after some hard braking on a track day, but I suspect it will return sooner or later.

Could be just new pads that are still breaking in. :):)

I had new pads fitted to the rear of my 348 when I bought it and it squeaked for years when I braked. :D:D

Everytime I wash the car I hose out the brake dust from the front and rear wheels/calipers. This helped the rear until they got dusty again which led me to believe it was just the new, dusty rear pads. :D:D

The noise has gone now in my car, but I still hose out the brake dust from the calipers everytime I wash the car. Perhaps try that too mate and see how you go. ;);)

It is always very good to remind this, as you said, many people are not always aware of this! Impressive picture of the CCB's, never seen a rotor in such condition. Good mines doesn't look like this :D

Good news about the ceramic brakes is not much dust and what there is washes off with a hose.

Guess I need I need to check the P21S site, because that is what I used in the past, before ceramics.

I contacted P21S a week ago asking them about their wheel cleaning product, and their reply was that it is safe and PH Balanced, sounds good :)

You can even read this page: http://www.detailedimage.com/P21S-M14/Gel-Wheel-Cleaner-P86/500-ml-Kit-S1/

But still, I would try cleaning the wheels with the least amount of agent touching the rotors ;)

Too much hysterical cleaning can be sometimes harmful,
this is a Ferrari, meant to be driven and not a Harley which is meant to be polished :D
