I know it all depends on condition but I am going just on the owner
s reputation as a guy who knows cars.
When I approached the owner through an intermediary with a would be buyer who would pay $16,000, I was told that $18,000 was required. I haven't followed values so I don't know what Rivoltas are worth. I know Grifos have shot up to $200K-300K in restored condition but Rivoltas don't have the same exciting lines. Plus the guy who told me about it would probably want a finders fee so I figure it's $19,000. If this is way too much for the present market, please disregard this, it's just that I have no idea what Rivoltas are worth and haven't even seen this one, which is in the Rockies.

Condition, condition, condition. It all depends on what the condition is. I came close to buying a Rivolta once in Princeton, NJ, but the condition didn't warrant the price. A well sorted one would be a dream-Alfa GTV looks, honking V8, and something you won't see at your local Cars and Coffee event.

    Condition means nothing ...... what?

Yes it's sort of true If you have a rusted hulk the demand in Europe for these cars is high due to all the Bizzarrini replicas being made. Most will pay up to 20-30K for a worn out mess, so they can complete their replica's

If you have a nice driver you may get 35-45 K, so the difference is very little.

a fully restored car that shows very well 60 - up

The demand for poor condition cars is high.

    IMO that is the market.
