Oh yeah, baby! That's what I'm talking about! It's no canyon racer, but it is a whole hellova lot better than before with these babies on her feet. Ran Hwy 74 in Palm Desert to the lookout and back to scrub 'em in. Sweeet! I liked my Spider, but I love this car!

Nice car! You have good taste in shoes ;)

Is it me or your car looks lowered? In either case, car looks real sharp.

See you at C&C this Sat.

Sorry ernie, I missed ur question earlier. I'm running stock tires:

    225x40x18 front
    265x40x18 rear

And goth, this road is Highway 74 in Palm Desert which is pretty much The Ortega Highway in San Juan Capistrano. It snakes thru the western coastal mountains to the 215 at Lake Elsinore. Then it treks northeastward into the mountains up to Idyllwyld, then down into the Coachella Valley to Palm Desert and Hwy 111 right at the start of El Paseo.

This section is the Hwy 111 portion south to the first lookout. It's a series of twisties with elevation change bordered by cliffs and rock walls - not very off-road friendly. It's a great road to scrub in some tires and hone your cornering skills, but you must watch out for those crazy-azzed crotch racers who just go nutz on this road. Last time out, I passed a guy in full leathers who was nearly horizontal in a turn. I didn't see him until the last moment - after I had crossed the double solids in a downhill turn pass of a slower vehicle.

Sounds like there should be a "brotherhood" run on this road in the future?

Bump this to see map. The Brotherhood run should be the whole 74 and it would take a few hours. The best time would be soon before summer heat or October. I think taking it from 60, south 79 to Hemet to pick up 74 would be better. Then we could take 10 back from Palm Springs. Of course, there would be a stop at my place in La Quinta for a rest up and barbeque. Now that I think of it, I might be able to check it out and do some planning for the Fall. How many takers?

Vince is not here. In fact, he moved out of the country...

LOL, we'll get something going. You are going to have to BYOB (bring your own babes). Everything else my charming and lovely WIFE and I can take care of.

This is where you will be going. Yep, it's in the desert.
