I'm just in the process of ugrading my brake lines using Goodridge SS parts & have hit a snag The parts they sent me for the rear are wrong for the ABS car - the lines are about 10cm too short so they are having to make up new lines based on the measurements I have given them. It seems the ABS car has a slightly wider track at the rear than the non ABS car & hence uses longer lines - or so I was told. I bought mine from www.brakehoseshop.com & they have been pretty good about sorting the problem out including speaking to Ferrari (from where the above information came). It seems it was news to Goodridge that there were different lines for the ABS & non ABS car at the rear. The stuff they sent me for the front is fine. Therefore anyone ordering Goodridge lines for an ABS 328 needs to make sure they send you the correct parts - the new lines that they are making up for me for the rear have a total length of 375mm. Nicely made parts overall. I.
Good information! Indeed, on the Demon Tweeks site, http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk they only show one kit, and they are not specific. I never noticed that. I ordered one, and it, of course, fit my non-abs 1987 328GTS just fine.
Got the 375mm rear hoses form Goodridge & I think they could stand to be 3-5mm shorter just to tighten up the hose run a bit. They'll work fine though. Now fitted & brakes bled & no leaks as far as I can see. Doncha just hate it when you get done with a long job & its a bit too late (midnight!) to go out for a test drive????? I.
