Image Unavailable, Please Login The SS Nassau was used to deliver cars to Nassau,Bahamas for the Governors Trophy Race. Does anyone have any history on what teams used the SS Nassau?

Issues of 135-140 of Cavallino may have some more information with articles on the Bahamas Speed Weeks by Terry O'Neill, letters from Jim Sitz and images from Alexis Callier.

Thanks.. good idea to reach out to Terry Oneil. Are Jim Sitz and Alexis Callier still around? The logistics of shipping valuable race cars must have included cargo manifests and customs releases etc. GM shipped several important cars on the SS Nassau as did other teams. I would be great to communicate with someone that actually handled the shipping consignments. Joe

Terry O'Neill also wrote a voluminous book on the Nassau races, now in its third edition.

I made a small contribution to his original book as my car is in the book.
