    This month (Saturday 2/7/09) we have a special event with the SECC & SSW groups joining together for a special Coffee get together. The theme this month is The British Invation so bring a British car if you have one. If not all makes and models are enouraged as usual. Also one of our very own is going to share his new toy with us! Please drive safely as sometimes there is radar on Scottsdale rd. The meet time and place is the usual Gainey Village shopping center located on the southeast corner of Scottsdale rd & Doubletree. The start time is 9AM.

    Love hearing the great sounds of cars leaving and arriving, but don't want to have someone get a ticket! Been working to have my 348 ready, but may fall a bit short. I'll be there either way. :)

    To further your point, the Crystal Cove C&C events were booted-out of Crystal Cove due to the reckless behavior of some attendees. Let's hope cooler heads prevail at our Scottsdale events. Cheers!

    Does anyone know if there are noise restrictions in scottsdale in terms of dB? I think carefree has a max noise level limit.

    Just wondering if there are complaints about revving engines, etc?

    The statute does not prohibit local municipalities from establishing and enforcing a more precise ordinance.

    I have never heard about complaints regarding reving engines. That area in Scottsdale is all commercial and all our guys seem very tame. I think Carefree put in a noise level cause of all the Biker bars and Harley's thundering around that residential area.

    Spoke with a Scottsdale Police Officer that was roaming around the parking lot. He seemed to be genuinely interested in the nice cars that were there. I got no indication from him that there were any complaints. Maybe he feels that if he shows his presence then there will be less chance of any trouble developing.

    It's empty, so it can't be a GT-R, that would be going back to Nissan to get fixed. I keed...

    Hmm...this is tough, could be anything. I'm going to guess something british...Mini Coop? It's small, so it fits the tiny covered up area.

    If I had sold it to you at a reasonable Fall 2008 price, you would be grumpy by now. Looks like they have dropped 10-15% in the last 6 months!

    So, are you the fellow with the new toy?

    Want, yes. Afford and have room for, not so much. I already have one car in a lonely, dark, cold, off-site storage. It's just not proper.

    I hate doing this, but anyone from Tempe or the south going to Cars and Coffee? Can I hitch a ride with you?

    I promise I'll be driving up myself in April, I will be bringing my car back from Texas. :eek: Thanks in Advance!! :)
