the first car is a euro car. if you are wanting this one, make sure the conversion was done by a good company and the recalls have been done. the price sould be 20% lower than a us model

    Are those 16" wheels?!

That car has an accident histpry reported, and there is literally no vehicle discription in the ad.

    Proceed with caution.

Yeah those wheels look small and kind of kill the look of the car.

Partially true and partially completely off the mark. Yes it is a euro and he need to make sure that the conversion was done by a reputable company. The two most important issues about this are NTHSA & EPA paperwork and is it a 50 state car. Most of these are 49 state cars and you can't bring them to CA. The OP is in CA so this is VERY important. You must have the BAR sticker; if you don't, search my posts and you will find a detailed posting on how to get through that process.

Recalls were very few for these cars, the issue is campaigns such as the variators. Make sure that they were done or allocate an extra $4-5K to do during the next belt service.

Pricing has been pounded into the dirt but 20% is probably too much discount for a clean euro, assuming it has the stuff above. The miles are moderately high but the pricing is good assuming that the car is fairly clean (don't expect perfect for that price).

    Good Luck

Never ceases to amaze me how little work some people put into selling stuff on ebay. And this is a high end car people! Take an extra second and spiff up your ad! :(

That description looks like a total copy/paste with the incorrect dollar amount and generic car sales literature.

Might not reflect on the vehicle, but IMHO it DOES reflect on the selling party.

the 20 % came from a Ferrari Dealer. I bought my 03 spider, excellant condition for 20% less than what US models are going for. 12,000 miles

I don't know why Euro cars are less than US. The cars are the same but with a "smog" system added. My car had all the paperwork, belts changed and not a spot on the car.
I think it just a "US Ferrari market" thing to keep the cars higher. If you look at what is being sold, you will not find many Euro models, but a lot of US models. If you can find a Euro car with correct paperwork, they are a great deal

the one with 50k miles looks very familiar. search 6speed i remember it being listed on there and if i recall someone found out it had a rental history. overall the car's owner stood by how well it ran so i would just do my research, drive it, and have a good thorough ppi done.

I was going to buy a car from those folks awhile back but at the last minute decided the deal was to shady for me, something just didn't feel right.

Eventually bought a 02 360 from LA for 80K with 12k on it from a private party, he bought a Lambo and had no reason for the 360 anymore so I bought it and I drove it home to Portland. It was a blast to drive for 2 days back home with the Kreissieg exhaust on it mainly in the Mount Shasta roads. The only thing that I found was soon after I got home the cam gaskets and seals were leaking. I guess the 1300 miles loosened everything up from sitting most of the time. So beware of low mileage cars you might have to put some money into it after purchase. Luckily I am doing all my own work on it and saving some bucks and finding out how to work on a ferrari, it's not hard its just hard to get to things sometimes.

Congrats on the car. I agree that euros are good buys if you pay attention to the details. I have all papers and my car is a 50 state car (at least it is after I had it tested). One great thing is we don't have pre-cats in the headers so we don't have to worry about that little problem.

There are just too many red flags, they actually have two listings on their website ... seems like the same car with different wheels, but two different VIN numbers. I did find a 2001 triple black spider in the same price range. It happens to be a euro " B " , but well documented service history ..... and it is a six speed manual .... private party sale, we shall see how it goes and share the FC 360 space along with FC 355 .
