    Well, this is *obviously* something I should know, but as a newbie, I'm not too embarrassed to admit that I don't know what a "PPI" is. I checked the FAQ and didn't see it.

    Would someone kindly clarify for me? And if it *is* in a FAQ somewhere, then please excuse my ignorance - I just didn't see it when I looked.

    Mark, "PPI" stands for Pre-Purchase Inspection. Usually recommended prior to buying a second hand or an older Fcar.

    Incidentally, Don, I assume you are not interested in checking that car out anymore?
