The St. Michael's Concour d'Elegance (http://www.stmichaelsconcours.com/) is on Sept 28th. All the cars invited have won at least one major award at a significant concours.

This is Pebble Beach on the east coast without the thousands of people. The cost is $50 and all goes to the Red Cross.

The concours is held at the Inn at Perry Cabin which is situated right on the water. Its a beautiful time of year in a beautiful part of our world.

I don't think I'll be judging at this one but I will be photographing and videoing extensively.

If you go to just one concours this year, go to this one, you won't regret the effort!

Yes, there are only pre-wwII cars in this event. Last year there was a 48 Delahaye but that was it.

Everyone of the entries is something special and unusual. You just don't get a chance to see this kind of iron unless its in a museum or at a very high end concour.

The actual concour is on Sunday, the 28th. This also would be a great weekend getaway with the wife (if you have one of those) St Michaels is a lovely setting with quiant antique stores and such.

The concours is this weekend. If you are into the rolling sculptures of the 20s and 30s, this is a unique opportunity to see some of the finest examples in the world. Think about it, the Great depression is what ended this era of cars. Sounds familiar. Global warming and the great mortgage meltdown...vs 500 hp sports cars of today

For those of you attending the wedding on Sunday, it is feasible to go to St Michaels in the morning and get to the wedding in the afternoon.

I'm rolling down early Saturday morning to catch the road rally, then hanging out for the night in Cambridge. I'll be back out there early in the morning.

    So who else is going?

Hope to see some of you out there.

    regards

    ken
