Been around a while. Not factory level. Fairly good coverage, PIA to use, very old school technology. Best alternative at the present, others are in development or being assessed, watch the other threads. With Lambo in addition, gives it more credibility as Lambo software is harder than Fcar to come by.
HI As the ST5 Tester is A Cool tool. I have One (I have sd3,sd2,lara32,ldas...) the ST5 is one off the best in all do to you have Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini and more to come (Aston Martin ?!? one Day ???) If I need to do sum thing fast I use the ST5 and is a Flawless tool no Problem! YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE IN TO!!! so if you have a new clutch what is the PSI in bit ( BIT as I/O) if you to not know that NO PSI settings is possible "new clutch 4.5/5.0 mm = ? PSI in bit" . If you know you can play whit Ferrari !!!! as is a kit car WOW!!! SD3 and SD2 needs to have the SD NET !!! ST5 do not need any PC to work whit (Excluding printing and tester up date ) If you are not the dealer ST5 is OK... (and ST5 is SD... famiglia... !

The ST05 works well, It is designed by some of the old SD2 engineers and I sell allot of them, but the only way I sell the machines is fully loaded with all the software from the factory & my customers do not have issues when they buy the machines from me with all the software installed from the factory. There are some others selling the machine at a lower price but with limited software, this could be where the issues are coming from. Years ago the machine was not very good, but now it is, most companies do improve their products over time & they have done so. If any of you with ST05's are having issues, contact me & I will help you out. Last time I offered, no one stepped up to the plate for my help. The ST05 guys are committed to what they are doing for independent workshops. The service from them is slow if you need an update, but if you buy the machine fully loaded you will not require an update until the California software comes avail. The Leonardo tester is also avail, great customer support but there is a license fee. It will do all SD1, SD2, and SD3 & SD4 functions.
