Unfortunately variable, but you should go from Stage 50 to Stage 90 (on the water) in about 2-4 weeks. The trip across the Atlantic is about 3 weeks. It actually takes only 7-8 days to cross the Atlantic but the ship stops at multiple ports in the Mediterranean before leaving for the East Coast. Then the paradox begins. Your car lands at the NJ port and from there to a pre-delivery inspection facility called FAPS (I am currently at this point with my California and am experiencing mild insanity from waiting). It will be there longer than the car takes to cross the Atlantic for some reason: about 1.5 to 2 weeks. Then your car and several others are loaded on Horseless Carriage or Pilot Transport. At the same time your dealer will receive the vehicle invoice and VIN. It will take 1 week to make it across the country. In short, ask your dealer to tell you when your car become Status 90 and then add six weeks.

When your vehicle hits Status 90 ask your dealer what ship it is on and you can track it using www.marinetraffic.com.

I wish you years of enjoyment.

Would someone point me in the direction of a list of the Status stages, please? Is thinking about buying Stage 1? :)

How many weeks do I save by having the car sent by air transport?

    This is from user TNFERRARIOWNER

    10 - Orders accepted (Red 10 = No Changes)
20 - Chassis assembly (at Scaglietti)
    30 - Painting
    40 - Assembly line (dash/wiring/interior/options)
    50 - Assembly line (engine/transmission)
    60 - Finishing
    70 - Testing (road/track)
    85 - Storage
    90 - Water (intransit)
    92 - PDI completed
    93 - Shipping to dealers
    94 - Dealer stock
    94 - Red - retailed
    95 - Submit to factory

Because I am Type A, I looked into air transport pretty seriously. It saves precisely 3 weeks at a cost of US$ 11,000. This can be added to your MSRP. I felt that it was not worth it and that I could spend this money on other things (wife). You may choose differently.

I've heard (unsubstantiated) that air freight price is sometimes negotiable/discounted, as Ferrari's cost is partially set by guaranteeing to fly a minimum number of units, and so they will sometimes sell a slot cheaper that would otherwise go empty. YMMV.
