Anyone interested? I've got three aviators plus me.

One guest has 5,000 hrs in a Customs Blackhawk. One has a taildragger Super Decathlon and one had an amphibian (Searay). Then there's me. No license. No plane. Love to fly.

I took one up before. I was timid. Not this time. :)

I did it years ago when they were charging $1750 per hour. Had a wonderful time. I think all aviators should fly a P-51 once. Its the equivalent of driving a Ferrari F40. My instructor was Lee Lauderback.

it's fun to mess with center... when they ask what you are flying, they are thinking jet... silence for a moment when they hear " single engine recip"... ( altitude and speed don't add up with what they are looking at )

I have been considering doing it as well. Always wanted to fly the P-51.

When in March? Is there a price discount if you get a certain sized group?

there is room for only one passenger... how would that apply for a group discount ?

...they could always cut corners on maintainance to keep to their business plan :=)

    I'm going to shoot for 13, 14, 15, 16, 17... 21,22,23.

No discounts. About $2,500 I think.

I'll make contact tomorrow to check availability. Just don't tell them you want to take a ride. They don't do rides.

Lee is the owner I think.

    I'll be back soon.

I flew Crazy Horse with the late Doug Schultz in 1998. It was $2250/hour then. I checked into pricing again a few weeks ago and they told me the "contribution" for the One-hour Orientation Flight is $3,150.00 or $2,350.00 for the Half-hour Orientation Flight.

So my $700 for a 20 min introduction flight in Lady Joe was a good deal. No wonder I jumped at it so fast and it made my trip to Reno so special. I gotta call up Darryl Bond and thank him again.

I'm be happily "contributing" just to see them fly.

    Thx for the input.
