Sir, I don't know you, and you don't know me (Hmm... sounds like a good line for a country-western song). But I have learned, the hard way, not to take any of this seriously. After all, F-Chat is nothing more than an electronic Etch-A-Sketch for bored ADHD insomniacts. Trust me, whatever transgressions have been committed will soon be forgotten, like inside of 5 minutes.

Personally, I come here only for entertainment purposes, i.e., I like to read my own posts. If you want to have fun, for example, make a post calling for rational gun control. The responses will be predictable and humorous. Dr. S, just to give one example, called me a moron because I said that crazy people should not have have guns. Did I get upset? <Yawn> Trust me, I have a lot bigger wars going on in my life than to be upset by what someone says about me on an Internet Chat board.

The funny thing is all the F-Chatters I have met in person have all been very cool people. One of the bigger flame battles here was between Art and Maranelloman. I know them both and found them to be interesting. (BTW, saying that someone is interesting is my biggest compliment. I hate boring people.) What's even funnier is that they would probably be buds if they hadn't lost their cool here.

So don't sweat it. Truth is this is a very interesting corner of the WWW with some very interesting people. Even though I have sold all my Ferraris and don't anticipate buying another one (I'm a Porsche man, now, all the way. [Tip of the hat to Robertson]), I still keep coming back.

Go ahead. Take a break. But as we say in recovery, "Keep coming back because it works if you work it, and you're worth it."

That's because his might be confiscated!! :D :D

BTW, I prefer to stand by my convictions, not on top of them.

I stood on my convictions once, then I got charged with loitering at the courthouse.

I prefer to forget my convictions, and reminisce on the acquittals.

Personally, me thinks the MOD is an *******

    That's who gives a crap.

Letting the friggin' power go to your head and banning a Tifosi when someone expresses an opinion you, or others don't like.

Isn't that why there is a feature on FCHAT to ignore posts by a specific member?

Too bad some people seemingly have a hardon for WETPET. Don't like him or his posts, put him on your ignore lists and add me at the same time.

Banning actions like this will cause others to not renew their membership.

    C'mon mods, get a life.

Oh c'mon already, get a grip.

That's a lot of noise for a seven day ban for Ed.

Even Ed (I suspect) would agree that he's a magnet for conflict, he enjoys it, and the post he made caught a mod's attention. He's been warned before, and temp banned before, he should probably know better by this time than to post particulary inflammatory messages here.

And, no offense, but I just don't see a mass exodus because Ed (and others who seek to inflame or incite) get a few days off when they post their crap.

Put him on ignore? How would you suggest we moderate if we put all the rabble rousers on ignore?
