I recently got my car back from having a major service done. Ever since the first day back it has difficulty starting. It turns over but doesn't catch. Then on the second or third try it catches and if I have my foot on the gas it may start up.

After going out for a long run ad stopping the car it will cough 2 or 3 times beefore stopping.

Any ideas on what can be causing these issues?

Not trying to be a wise acre, but I would take it back to the shop where your service was done. It could be any of a number of things involving what they did when they serviced it.

    Iagree with the above.

for a quick DIY, check that the idle is not fully closed (or fully open...mine will get 1Krpm with about one turn open), and that all the fuel mgt connectors are connected (aux air, WUR cold start inj, ECU, etc.).

Assuming they didn't do anything to the fuel delivery system, improper timing setting can cause problems like you describe.
