    Hi,

I got a new battery in Sept last year. it went flat after two months when a friend left the park lights on over night. it still had power but not enough to crank. Got the battery charged over night by a battery specialist. 03 Modena.

Since I have had some problems starting where the starter motor attempts to engage but cannot do a full crank, just partial. Try a few times then will engage and start. This typically is after the car has sat for a full day, assumming it is drawing some power.

I got the battery tested and it tests fine but after I drove the car ie charged it and wasn't sitting around for a day. Vendor will not replace.

A loan battery was put in and I have the same issue on this battery. I do not know what state the loan battery was in.

After I attempt to engage and fail the N light flashes and boot light comes on. Same as if I disconnect the battery and turn back on.

My question can the cause be something else other than the battery. It could be excessive draw while sitting. PS a new starter motor was put in 2.5 years ago but unrelated cause.
