How many days is your car sitting before you start it up? The battery may run down a little and then charge back up while driving

Several possibilities, and a number of posts on the subject herein. Next time, turn off the ignition before it starts. Then try again. Bet it starts right up. But do read the previous posts.

Are you using a battery tender to keep the battery at a peak level?

the car is normally plugged into the battery tender. The battery is only a month old

Shad99, i will try turning off the ignition before it starts and try again.

I am bothered this problem is new and will get worse. The lag is about 1 or 2 seconds before the car tries to start. Which is new

It sounded like the F1 pump was still running when you turned the ignition to start the car. I wait for the pump to stop (the whirring sound that also occurs when you open the driver's door) before starting the car.

Stomp on the brake before you start. If the engine stumbles -- pulse the brake pedal after the engine lights. If modulation of the brake pedal causes the engine to rev normally, you have a vacuum leak in the brake booster circuit. If you have a later model 360 -- check the Ricambi 360 web site or your favorite parts vendor -- Table 41 to determine what brake booster system you have in your vehicle. If you have the check valve -- part no. 24 -- it is likely it has failed. Otherwise, you will need to put a vacuum gauge on the circuit and test. It could be the booster itself, but these devices are generally bulletproof for obvious reasons.
