First Post! What years have what problems? Any preference to any year(s) I understand so far Check clutch wear, whether the headers have been upgraded from the MK1, if its an 05 that it has the upgraded f1 pump ( simple test is to open the drivers side door and hear the pump prime. Should be under 10 seconds), F1 hoses, sticky buttons, tail lights, mirrors etc. What do the stock coil overs look like to identify them Thanks
Sticky buttons, shrinking dash leather at the defroster vents, have the fuel pumps been upgraded from the original (extreme fire hazard), loose tail lights, have the factory exhaust manifolds been replaced? They changed the gearbox halfway through 2007, I think? I have used this resource and it’s pretty comprehensive. https://normalguysupercar.com/products/ferrari-f430-buyers-guide?srsltid=AfmBOooXKYSG2r0jNwBYMYwwKKVDpcyYFKJUrk5LGYm6aazKvv_WyzNo
One of the better ways of 'starting your search' is to learn to search - there's fifteen years of 430 buying experience shared here including check lists and a master list of upgrades & changes by assembly number etc - use them and you'll be well on your way
Not to come off as rude, but if you can’t be bothered to search and just expect everyone to give everything to you, you won’t get very far on the forum. The search function works quite well and can be supplemented by searching google and sticking “FerrariChat” in quotes to limit results to this forum.
If you want to be an owner you're already armed with the information you need. If you want to be an enthusiast then spending time on this forum will yield the most indepth information unavailable elsewhere, with real experts that bleed Rosso Corsa to help you in a tight spot. Good luck with your choice either way.
