Nice; yours? I Googled it for the backstory and came across this: http://bringatrailer.com/2011/04/24/superwagon-1971-mercedes-benz-300tel-6-3/ A few other links regarding it as well at the above link.
Set your DVRs, next Sunday (8/28) at 10/9c on Top Gear USA will be a comparison test of the F Cali against the Caddy V Wagon. All hail the V! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Saw a sweet white Ford LTD wagon; ahh the glory days of the early 80's. The one I spotted wasn't a woody though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
a friend's mom had one like that, navy blue with the "wood" trim. calling it a piece of crap would be an insult to all the legitimate, hard-working pieces of crap out there.
Huh... fiend of mine had one with something like 300,000 on it. It wasn't pretty anymore of course! Shiny Side Up! Bill
I'm now shopping for a more practical, fuel efficient ride than my '98 5.9L Grand Cherokee. Since I know the E39 pretty well (wife has a '99 528i) a 2002/03 E39 wagon is high on the list. Sadly the 530iAT was never sold in the US so likely would go for a 525iAT. For around $10k, which would you get? 2002 525iAT (low miles, loaded as possible) 2006 Mazda MPV (sliding rear doors and 3rd row seat would be nice) or for around $20k: new Mazda 5 (great size, features, but Mazda's next generation engines might be only a year away) 2008 Ford Taurus X Image Unavailable, Please Login
