Well, not sure how it happened. Two weeks ago I was Status 30 (paint). I checked today and my car is now on a ship (Status 90). I had requested air freight; but the car shipped without the dealer's knowing apparently.

Mid-October was the original factory estimated ship date. Pleasant surprise! Will keep everyone posted.

Interesting...same situation with me on my Spider. Two weeks ago was status 20 and yesterday I called dealer to check in and he was surprised to see status 90, which showed it was updated on July 20. He was trying to confirm the status by email because it didn't make a lot of sense to him that it had jumped so quickly. He said that it if the info is correct it should be getting on a boat in the next few days and would take anywhere from 10 days (the best case he has seen) to 4 weeks to cross and clear customs (all of that sounds awfully optimistic to me).

On the other hand, he did say the status reports are notoriously unreliable (hopefully not this time!) and irregular. He cited an example of a status 30 California that showed up on a truck outside his window while the guys in Maranello were running around trying to explain to him why the build was so far behind schedule.

In any event, if the info is correct, my build is way ahead of the original schedule...wondering if maybe demand is getting quite soft in Europe.
