    hello all. am speccing a spider red/black with racing seats with alcantara inserts and the big red stripe. have always ordered stc1 red stitching in the past but considering stc2 deviated with this order though i have never seen it in person as i think it might go better with the stripe. any thoughts?

    The dealer can show you the stitching differences in his case.

    I have ordered Stc2 as I think it's thicker and bolder. Then again, on black, it may be too much (mine are beige with red stitching). It's a matter of personal taste. I don't think anyone can decide but you on this.

    yeah i hear you but looking at a swatch of stitching for me is not that helpful without seeing an entire interior so kinda of cruising for opinions. i promise i will make my own decision and no one will make it for me.

    I have always ordered type 1. My spider spec has type 1. My buddy got type 2 on beige interior with sport seats. The difference is subtle. See thread a few months back for pictures. Basically, type 2 has more stitches per inch. It therefore gives a subtly bolder appearance. The stitches seem to sit up higher. His dash is black and I think it looks good on both colors.
    I don't think you will make a mistake either way.
