Just finished dinner with a friend at Ruth's Chris. Good steak, a bottle of wine and him recounting his 13 outings at LeMans including a class win in a 333SP. 3 hours of awesomeness 😊 Just had to share my joy. Made a challenging work day fade away.

So who was it? Sounds like a great time, regardless. The 333SP is just awesome. Never gotten to drive one, but been passed by one... like I was standing still.

A pic of the steaks would be nice too, just saying. :D

I doubt it-- the OP said he had a good time. ;)

I still despise Taylor for his snotty comments about Moretti and the 333 after he left (got punted from?) the Momo team after one year. He is one of only two drivers I can think of that I truly dislike (Hamster being the other).

    So who was it, Mark?

Or Fermín Velez. Since all three drivers are considered the winner it is hard to say but for myself I consider the true winner the driver who took the checkered flag but I cannot remember if it was Wayne or Fermín or Eric.

It was Wayne. Been friends for the last 3 years, but was a huge 333 SP fan when they raced and before I knew him personally. A truly nice man.

    Cheers,

Only one 333 SP has had a class win at Le Mans, and only one of those three drivers has had thirteen outings at Le Mans. Regardless of who was behind the wheel at the end of the 24 hour period, it doesn't take a police detective to identify the dinner guest in question.

Indeed. Very sad. Colon cancer as I understand. I also had a chance to meet him many years ago. Great guy.

Velez was quite a nice chap, I agree. Wayne Taylor has become agreeable over the years, although probably not to Tommy Kendall. He did speak rather ill of Gianpierro Moretti, though, didn't he?
