I do find one thing funny, now. I can't find Stebro on eBay any way, fashion or form. I wanted to contact the TanAutoParts ebay store where I purchased my 612 exhaust so that I could inquire about a "race" exhaust (mufflerless) for my f355.

I can't find them. So... I'll say again. Guess I was lucky.

You can still contact him through eBay. Click the link. Right under his picture is a "contact member" link.

Tan Auto Parts are off EBay, you can still contact fees are extremely high, there will be no more sales on EBay. You can see selling feedback if you press on number of feedbacks. 0 Negative and 0 Neutral.

I'm personally dealing with Randy's front cat section for S6, it suppose to be shipped on Monday. What happened really - is there was miscommunication when Tan Auto Parts got order from Stebro - there was NO WORD about front cat section. To improve the situation Tan Auto Parts will be calling every customer that placed the order with Stebro and had his payment processed with Tan Auto Parts to MAKE SURE that information received is CORRECT.

    Thanks for the video Nick!

Back in April, I paid $1500 for a Stebro exhaust. Dan said his credit card machine was down and asked me to pay through Western Union. I mistakenly thought that was a safe way to pay. Then, he kept telling me it would ship next Friday, next Friday, etc, etc. Now, I am out $1500, have no exhaust, can't get a refund or even a phone call back. It seems like other people have had this issue too. Has anyone had any positive resolution? I filed complaints with the Canadian BBB, Ministry of Consumer Services and the Canadian Government's Anti-Fraud Centre, at the recommendation of the Ontario Police. Has anyone else filed complaints like this and were they successful?

i'd be surprised if you don't eventually get what you ordered...

but the problem with Stebro is simple...Dan P lies...he bills the second he gets your CC info, which is weeks or months before he even starts the job.

he'll then give you every juvenile excuse from the Teenage Excuse Handbook about why you don't have the product you ordered and paid for months earlier.

it's sad...because the products aren't bad and the name was once respected...but you'd be a fool to order anything from them now.

i know people from Maimi to Toronto to San Fran and back that would love to see his head on a pole.

if anything i've said is a problem for anyone at Stebro, bring it on...but it's nothing i haven't told you personally for years before i smartened up...and it's true.

A little creative work with GOOGLE and you should be able to track down his home phone number .... worked for me! I had the exact same problem - Western
Union him some $ and never received the x pipe. After a fewcalls to the home number at strategic hours, all was resolved.

Very sad to report that the Stebro company, a once very well-regarded manufacturer of quality stainless steel exhaust systems has turned into a glorified con. You send them money, and what they send you, *3 months* later, is useless garbage. My mechanic, one of the best Audi mechanics in the country, George Ritchey, proprietor of German Motors in Tahoe City, CA, says that maybe, just maybe, he can modify the parts they sent to fit, but he is not at all confident. The parts are stupid bad, e.g. slip joints made from two different sizes of pipe. (!!!!) Bends are wrong, etc. etc. I wasted $1600 on this crap.

Dan P. and Stebro have been identified as what they are here for years.

Someone in Canada may could have them shut down for wire fraud.

I had to go after them through my credit card company after months of non-delivery on a paid order.

What has happened I suppose is that so many people have come after him through the credit card companies that the credit card companies now refuse to do business with Stebro.

    Gentlemen,
I would like to honor my seventh-month anniversary with you and share my experience with the current, new-and-improved Stebro exhaust company.

I ordered a Daytona exhaust system from them on January 10, 2011.
The emails of Stebro’s Dan Petschenig first promised it shipped at the end of March.
The next claimed shipment date was early May because of a painting problem.
A telephone call to Dan was reassuring about shipment at the end of May and he promised a tracking number next week.
Mid June, Dan claimed the system would be shipped “soon”.
Mid July, Dan claimed the system would be shipped “asap”.
And now it’s August 10th, the 7th Month Anniversary of my order.
I am soooo sorry I had not seen this long post about Stebro before I sent my check.

If you have to have a Stebro system, absolutely expect more than a seven month wait for your order.

I will keep the community informed if the system ever arrives and on its quality control, if any.

But perhaps our good friend from Stebro, Sergiy Blazhko, can help…
What do you have to say, Mr. Blazhko?

I feel your pain. Sorry. I think at this point the best we can hope for is that Stebro make the mistake of "selling" a system to one of Tony Soprano's cousins.

Stebro stays in business by offering incredibly slow shipping on products for cars that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere. At least Dan answers the phone.

Try to get an ANSA exhaust for a 246GT, that's not easy either. I tried for two years to get one for my Dino, without luck.

Oh, and generally, Stebro is less expensive, too.

Remember that old rule of retail?

    Cheaper, better, faster. PICK TWO.

here, you only get to pick one. Cheaper. Better or faster is out of the question.

I had a Stebro on my Dino, was too loud, so I decided to replace it. When I finally did, the new exhaust from another manufacturer, didn't fit. Not even close. Took the mechanic a full day to fix it and make it fit.

So, it looks like getting an exhaust for an older car isn't often easy.

my own experience with stebro a couple of year ago was positive

sure, it took maybe 6/7 weeks to get it (from Canada to Germany) but I was informed, emails where answered by Dan and the product showed up in the end ...

it was an absolutely perfect fit...even my mechanics have rarely seen such a bolt-on solution...maybe took 20min to install

it is surely not the nicest exhaust out there and workmanship leaves a little to be desired but...it has the best sound ever !
I´ve never heard anything close...even Tubi and Capristo come hardly close...still get compliments where ever I go

so at least for me, it payed off

    another FWIW.
I bought a Stebro a couple months ago. Dan gave a great price, included shipping. When I ordered he said it would ship right away. In typical fashion, as soon as I paypal'd the money, he stopped returning emails. So... I cancelled the Paypal. It took ten days, but the money came back. I had told Dan I was doing this. About a week later he writes and says it will ship tomorrow (no mention of my cancelled and returned payment). A week later the exhaust shows up. He wrote, said he saw it was delivered and asked me to re submit the paypal.

I was pretty impressed actually. He knew I had stopped payment and gotten my money back, but still shipped the exhaust on honor. I even mentioned that the can was satin and not polished, so he said "take another $200 off"

The exhaust looks great, fits great, and sounds great.... As long as you can get him to ship it to you....

How the hell did you get paypal to cancel the payment? They told me to jump in the river. With a boat anchor.

To whom are you addressing the question Sergiy? I "got" my exhaust. It's a joke, only it's not funny. Slip fit connections that are not even the same size tubing for starters.

This is weird as hell: I feel bad for jumping on you Sergiy, because I strongly suspect that, without your assistance, I would still be waiting for the second 2/3rds of my "system" to get shipped. As best as I can tell Dan never intended to ship it.

But I'm awfully unsure as to whether you did me a favor or not. I mean, one way to look at it is that, since the paypal payment went through your account, you sending me those parts may just have been you sending me whatever junk you had to cover your ass from a possible fraud charge. Now I am going to spend a lot more money having those parts modified to fit. IDK...
