I am missing some parts for an "L" series:

Steering column - from first U-joint to the steering rack
    Front swaybar and brackets
Rear swaybar mounts (part #22, tav.34)
Chrome roof gutters, from rear 1/4 window to top of door (Part#9, Tav.111)
    Glove box lid
Outer, door chrome strips (part #40, tav. 109)
2 door window winder cable tensioning pulleys (part #21, Tav.111)

    Regards,
    Alberto

    Alberto,

I was not able to find a listing on-line anywhere for your missing parts. Some may be hard to come by. Do you think a steering column out of a later 308 dino would work?

I also noted the TAV drawings you quoted were out of a later book. Do you have the proper yellow covered parts book specifically for the 206 & L? It would be handy as much is different. I got mine from McCann.

    B. Regards,

    Steve

Steve thanks for the input. I do have the yellow parts book, I got it later, thus the
different Tav. and #'s. Maybe the 308 avenue could be an option.
Is there a workshop manual, i.e. teardown and rebuild of all mechanical aspects?
    Best regards,
    Alberto

    Alberto,

Probably wouldnt hurt to search in the 308/328 section and if that comes up empty, start a thread.

If it is the same as the 246 (a big "IF") then the steering column shaft from the U-joint by the brake booster to the steering rack is simply a length rod with a spline on each end. I'd think the rod itself would be rather simple to cut and the splines are there for the clamps to grip onto. Fabrication shouldn't bee too bad.

I agree, except I need to find at least a U joint, plus there are about 15 parts involved.
I think your suggestion of a simple shaft is good. When the time comes to getting the car back together,
which should be a while, I hope I'll be able to figure something out, or possibly find one.
    Thanks for the idea!
    Alberto
