The steering shakes every time I go over a bump. Worse the bump, worse the shake. Thoughts?

Check all front end components, ball joints, tie rod ends, bushings for excessive movement. Check your shocks to be sure they are in good working order aswell. Also have a look at the condition of your tiers. Worn down tread, shifted belt..even low tire pressure can produce this symptom.
If all checks out..make sure you alignment is in order and the car is not "dog tracking" etc. Almost forgot..incorrectly balanced wheel can do this aswell.

You're talking about the skittering feeling, or the tramlining at high speed? Both my 328 and the 308 I drove felt that way.

It oscillates a bit over bad roads as if the tire was misbalanced..but aside from over imperfections, it drives fine. (and I know bad roads here in Baltimore).

What to do about tramlining if everything checks out ok? (from the components to the alignment)
