Im trying to chase a rattle in the front of my 430 occurring on less than smooth roads. i suspect it may be the steering rack ends starting to have a little play. Has anyone needed to replace the rack ends on their cars. I am asking since apparently Ferrari does not sell just the rack ends but the whole steering rack itself which makes me think that not many people replace them and the rattle may be something else. I have yet to put the car on a left to check

Check those ball joints in the front A arms. You can jack up a side and push and pull on the tires. 10 and 2 position and 8 and 4 ought to tell you if they need attention.

Another vote for ball joints. One of the first things I did when I got mine. Upgrade to HE balls, the Ferrari ones are poop.
