    Hi All, Replacing the rack in my 308 GTSi and I have a question... how do you line up the rack in its mounts so that the splined shaft is at the correct angle to the coupler at the end of the steering column? Doesn't seem like there's room to leave it loose so I can spin and adjust the angle then tighten down everything when its all lined up.... but maybe I'm wrong?

    Insert the steering column into the rack. Then snug that connection. That's your basic indexing point. Rack brackets should be loose.

    Next, fasten brackets to frame. Then, tighten shimmed brackets around the rack.
