What a tool when you think about it.

Driving around in BH in an unsilenced-uk licensed-stolen-Enzo..and yet..they only found him when he crashed..

Yes, the red Enzo had been rebuild. It has recently been spotted at Cars and Coffee in California.

i think it can be rebuilt. Jim posted once a pic of a barely recognizable Enzo, and it was completely rebuilt.

essentially it would be a brand new car. The red Enzo that was demolished had the engin completely separated from the car and was trashed. Jim would know better than I would if it would be rebuilt, but I would think that there would have to be all new parts cast and stamped for the engine?

It begs the question: Who would buy an ENZO with a Salvage title???

I would, at a discount of course.

These cars are so special that they aren't 'fixed' like a normal car would be. They are sent back to Ferrari and anything thats broken/damaged just gets replaced. Its essentially like they take the car back to it's component pieces, then they replace any of said pieces that are missing/damaged with new pieces, then build the Enzo just like they would if it were a new one.

So it essentially is a new one. I believe they would do it almost regardless of how bad the damage was. There are ~350 Enzos out there (I know, I know), and they will keep fixing them as needed for the foreseeable future.

I just wouldn't want to be the one paying the bill for the repair!

A tool indeed but you have to give the guy credit for his taste in cars, his black Enzo is one great looking car! Black on Black on Black can't get any better.

Was it even insured, it was illegally imported in the US? Then still, he had been drinking, insurance wouldn't pay. The repair cost were estimated 300K at the time, he who has bought the remains for say 200K can have a deal. There must be people on this site who know the whereabouts of the car, funny we haven't heared yet, normally you can't hide an Enzo for this crowd!
