    HI
    I am a step closer to my first F-car, now my business is up and running.
    I am only 21, 22 this month. I was wondering what F-car i am best off buying for my first.
    Keeping in mind the fact that i am not a millionaire. What is the most affordable f-car to buy. Age, colour, model, do not matter to me that much.
    Also what insurance companys will insure me at my age....
    THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP.
    Dave

    Controversial opening statement:

    There is only one colour for Ferrari, Rosso IMO it will also sell easier:D

    Crema is the favoured interior in UK.

    Also what car to buy really depends on funds available, sorry I can't be more help:D

    308 GTB/GTS/GT4 probably offers the best balance of low(ish) running costs and low(ish) price.

    GT4s can be had from £13k upwards, with GTBs fetching £22k to £26k depending on model (the later the better but more expensive) and add on £1-2k for the GTS models.

    When you start heading towards 328s then you are looking at higher purchase cost, and 348s and above are more expensive to both purchase and run.

    You can get very cheap 400s and 412s but they will open a black hole in your wallet if you have any problems, and you can start hemorrhaging cash faster than an Enzo with a tank full of Semtex.

    But I suspect that insurance is what is going to kill you. I did have a 23 year old mate who insured his 328GTB through Tesco for several grand, but I'd make insurance enquiries the first thing you do.......

    If you can go to the top end of your budget, then a good 328 will be hard to beat, but check the insurance first....

    328's are good from the point of view of relatively low running costs. They are generally very reliable, and cambelts are changed with the engine in. 348's on the other hand is an engine out job.

    So, I would agree that the 328 is the model to go for, it is also in your price range of 25k-35k, but as Stig says, the insurance might be a problem.

    Good luck.

    More of question how much can you spend annually My 348 will cost minimum £3K per year including insurance(£800). So if you're looking to run a car less than £2K per year, go for the lower spec cars.

    Got some proper quotes:
    328= £2073
    348= £2619
    355= £2990 (My Dream so thought i may as well get a quote.)

    This is what i was expecting or there abouts, i didnt think the 328 or 348 would be that low.

    Thats with no restrictions apart from 6000 miles a year.

    you will also get a later model/lower mileage for less cash if you don't mind sitting on the 'wrong' side.

    The 355 is £39,950
    I might be able to go up to that price yet... not to sure until mid-end of august, that is when i will start looking.
    I would love a 355, but i dont think i shoud start out with an f-car that high up the market.
    Although i am more than willing to pay the £2990 insurance.

    As for the 328 Steve that is very smart, and more along the lines of affordable.
    If it is still for sale when i am ready to buy, i will be in touch.
