Lebron won a few Finals MVP's while in a losing effort. I hope this will happen again, because I can't see where anyone else can win this year's finals MVP and I "hope" the Warriors will win game 7. The greatest team will win on Sunday. It is clear that the main objective is stopping Lebron and the Cavs offense. With a hobbling Iguadala, the Warriors have to start with Green on Lebron, Klay on Kyrie, Curry on JR smith. The way that Barnes and Ezeli are playing both offensively and defensively, the Warriors are really suffering. The way the Warriors got blown away in game 5 4th quarter and game 6 1st quarter was the difference in the past 2 games...Cavs conceding open shots to Barnes and Iguadala. The Warriors really miss Bogut for protecting the paint and rebounds...Tristan Thimpson has been making it look rather easy, against the small ball line up. Things do not look good for the Warriors, but things did not look so good for the Cavs after games' 2 and 4. Things can change pretty fast and one team blows out he other.
I am trying to decide if I will be getting myself a Fathers' Day gift, so I may be going...Not sure my heart can take it ha ha...I guess overall, it has been a great series for everyone to see, as it definitely has not been a boring series, one to talk about. This game 7 will be a sort of crossing roads of the league. This game is about the Warriors team vs. the Cav's team for the NBA title... However, as recent history has shown us and the longevity of this thread, what at stake is significantly more than this... This has become a thing of Legacy-Is this still Lebron's league?, or is it now Curry's league? As much as I don't like Lebron for everything that he has done in the past and everything he stands for, He has been the best player in the NBA over the past 6 or 7 years. Curry has exploded on the scene the past 2 seasons and is the two time defending MVP and the Warriors are the defending champions that beat Lebron's team last year for the championship... Whoever wins game 7 will significantly bolster their personal legacy amongst the greatest players of all time, and conversely whoever loses game 7 will suffer a significant stain in their legacy... Think about it... With the GOAT being Michael Jordan undisputed at 6/6 for NBA finals...after game 7 the scenarios will be either: A) Lebron will be 2/6 in NBA finals with Curry 2/2 or B) Lebron will be 3/6 in NBA finals with Curry at 1/2... This will be fun and I will miss this thread and discussions when it is all over on Sunday... This is something special guys...ONE GAME TO RULE IT ALL!
For the record books, winning the 73 games in a season may never be broken. It is a special achievement that I personally will remember as I was able to attend the 73rd game in person on my 47th Birthday. However, at this point the greatest significance in the greatest regular season of all time is the fact that the Warriors have home court advantage. Had the Warriors not had the best record in the league this year, I do not think that they would have gotten out of the OKC series...Had the Warriors not had the best record in the league this year, I do not think they would have the benefit of having this last game at home...This is the biggest significance for the blood, sweat and tears that the Dubs had put into the regular season...this is what they have earned the right for...
2 interesting stats in game 6, no one that labron directly guarded scored! That is insane when you add that to what he did on offense despite every game being blowout, both teams scored total of 610 points
Interesting. That's why it's going 7 games, a true tie lol LeBron has taken over this series. Curry needs to reclaim it in game 7
Ok, Make your argument for this being the greatest single season for a player, EVER. Hellaciously good regular season, but a finals performance that came up short. Up 3 games to 1, Steph should have found a way to carry the team for one more win, and could not. That just means their regular season gets an asterisk, an perhaps now doesn't truly exceed the Bulls 72 win season after all. I don't like LeBron James' antics, but I admire his game this playoff season, and he's a guy who DID put the team on his back and will them to win a championship. Biggest game, all the marbles, he tosses up a triple-double. D
No to the Thread Subject. CHOKE!!!!!!!! Curry ain't no Michael Jordan! Or should I Say He ain't no LeBron!
Truth is, he ain't either one. He's not big enough to play big in a physical series, he got pushed around by Cleveland, and it cost him. He can't run through guys, he has to run around them, and that means he got bumped, a lot. Threw off his game, net result is Cleveland in 7. Next year, look out, the 76'ers are c'mon your way!! D
REALLY? Not for me, I really enjoyed the game - from both teams. I am also, Cleveland deserved it. GS was a 'speed' team, CLV is a 'finesse' team, and defense usually wins big games in any sport.
