Stereo 355

Stock Ferrari/Sony Stereo currently does not receive AM transmission is it fixable? If not ,does it pay to buy a replacement from Ferrari (how much?)or go with the Sony "only" replacement?

Yes something with bluetooth, I just got that and it is great!! I can make and answer "hands-free" calls !! Awesome!

 

Almost all "aftermarket" radios have really really poor tuners in them, it has become such a low priority to the general public so you might as well buy something that has all the options that you can use like Bluetooth, iPod, MP3 etc

 

From my many years of working at Crutchfield during college, I can tell you that Clarion and Pioneer have the strongest tuners of any of the aftermarket units. If radio is important to you, those are the ones to have.

Also, the 355 windshield antenna is pretty poor (as are all windshield dipoles). A real antenna will do wonders, although it may mean cutting/drilling the car. There is also an aftermarket amplified antenna which can be mounted inside the car without drilling. I've had good luck with it. Crutchfield item #12044UA200. (www.crutchfield.com).
