Im currently reading "The Mechanic's Tale", it a really nice book about him climbing the ladder and joining the F1 team. So i was hoping anyone read his new book "The Chariot Makers" is not out here yet, but it's out in england.......so if anybody could tell me if it is a worthwhile book i would greatly appreciate it.

A few years ago I found "Life in the fast lane" at a F1 memorabilia dealer outside the USGP and bought it instantly, despite the inflated price. Never regretted that move. Great book, fantastic read. Gives you the inside of what a F1 season is like from a mechanics perspective and it just happens to be one of F1's most dramatic years ever: 1994

Glad for your post Eric, I didn't realize he had two other books out. Will have to hunt those down as well. He is such a great guy and writer. Actually I find him a lot more interesting as a writer than as a Speed commentator, but maybe that's the negative influence of Speed.
