Steve Matchett Event - 2/26/2005 - Invitation to F-Chatters

Greetings and Happy New Year everyone!! I am on the organizing committee for a very special event our New England Region of the Ferrari Club of America will be holding on February 26, 2005 in New Haven, CT. The event is not exclusive for just FCA-NER members and we would like to extend an invitation to those of you who might be interested in attending.

Two weeks before the opening race of the 2005 Formula One season, we will be holding a reception and dinner featuring guest speaker Steve Matchett, noted author, world champion F1 mechanic, and member of the Speed Channel Formula One broadcasting team.

For a nominal fee which will go to charity, Mr. Matchett will also be signing copies of his latest book, "The Chariot Makers: Building the Perfect Formula One Car," with the proceeds going to the Parkinsons Foundation in honor of Sam Posey, who will also be attending the event.

Details on the event are as follows...

Date: Saturday, February 26, 2005

Time: 6:00 pm -- cocktail reception and book signing, 7:00 pm -- dinner

Location: Blake Street Cafe, New Haven, CT (easily accessible from I-95, I-91, and the Merritt/Wilbur Cross parkways)

Costs: $50 per person; $40 for a signed copy of Mr. Matchett's book ($26 tax deductible)

We may have a few extra copies of Mr. Matchett's book at the event, but paying for the book in advance will guarantee that you will receive a book.
