My copy arrived last week. Got through it eventually after several interruptions but the story is compelling enough to keep attention even with a lot of glossy b-roll footage. For those who've read "French Kiss of Death" by Michael Keyser, there isn't really any new ground in the movie. The cool bits are the in-period racing and behind the scenes footage which you just can't get enough of. Have to watch it again to get the full effect perhaps. BHW
I noticed on Apple TV there is a movie with the exact same title, but it was made in 2004. Has anyone seen that one?
Seems to me thats about the time the original "Le Mans" came out on DVD. So instead of "Le Mans Starring Steve McQueen" the new release is "Steve McQueen The Man & Le Mans". For those uninitiated, it's easy to get them confused. I was able to re-watch the director's cut that I received again last evening. It's a good production, for "Le Mans" fans, it is a must see. BHW
