What are you trying to say? "Slick" tires have no grooves. Completely flat surface. It looks like a regular tire on a street car, but with no more tread left.

285, most race cars run slick tires as they have more traction since there's more rubber touching the ground. For instances where they're not slick tires, it's usually in the rain. Also in F1 for dry tires, which aren't slicks. They have 4 grooves.

What i was saying was maybe it was a typo.

Maybe the guy at the store meant slick not stick tires.

    I know what they are.

Ah, gotcha. I didn't read the title as stick tire, but rather slick. ;) Maybe he meant sticky tires, which can be interpreted the same way. :)

I know the NASCAR guys always use the term "sticker tires" because of the new tires having the stickers still on them. Not sure how you could differentiate different compounds. Sorta like F1 with the white stripe on the tire?
