Try pushing it (more) closed while actuating the switch and immediately (almost simultaneously) giving it a small tug open with something wide and soft (like a credit card) that you've place in the gap at the top edge of the door.

The "latch" is a fixed rod loop on the door that goes into a v-groove on the latch assembly (you can even see in the jpeg where they've "notched" the carcass out a little to ensure clearance for the rod loop). The moveable piece of the latch closes the top of the v-groove trapping the rod in the v-groove. If the moveable part drags on the top of the rod this is trouble (and why pushing it more closed when you hit the button -- i.e., forcing the rod deeper into the v-groove might help get it open).

The real problem is the whole fiberglass structure of the TR dash is just not stable enough -- yours probably has some cracking where I had to repair mine (which moves the LH hinge relative to the latch mechanism):

MY TR GLOVE BOX NEVER OPENED WITH THE BUTTON

    ANOTHER TYPICAL PROBLEMS WITH TRS...

I had mine in for service at Ferrari of New England. I asked Steve to look into this problem, he said it worked fine, and could not duplicate the problem. Perhaps the leather on the sides of the glovebox was just stuck to the leather of the dash? If it happens again, I will try the trick mentioned above.

    Thanks in advance!

It worked fine I greased all the moving parts and it seams to be working fine I think that the basic problem as mentioned in the tip is that the structure is not stable and allows mis alignment and results in the sticking condition>
