Anyone know of a good way to replace just the plastic cover on the climate control instead of replacing the entire $1600 unit, that still works perfectly fine? I found a site called Ricambi America that offers one but I'm not so sure about how it will look and I would still need to find a solution for the sticky dials. It's only $75. So far that's all that's sticky!

Do a search for some of my posts. I have pictures of all of my replaced parts, including the hvac cover with the $75 one.

Ricambi is a great place to buy anything you need for your Ferrari. I have never heard of anyone being disappointed in what they get. If you are not satisfied, the company owner will make you happy. Their customer service is truly legendary!

Just started taking apart my console to fix the sticky bits...ash tray / mirror control first, AC control is in my sights...and for sure am going with the Ricambi overlay.

The reference above is to a step-by-step guide I created the same night I did this. Daniel is definitely helpful in this process, and just seems like a great contact to know. I'll also be glad to chime in and answer any questions you may have since I did this less than a month ago and am thrilled with the results.

In addition, you might want to check out some of the posts on the thread below. There's a mix of folks that replaced parts, and some pictures of the results I got from simply cleaning - coupled with some selective painting (most notably the ashtray - which had chipped).

    It's a very informative thread.

You can clean the control switches with EASY OFF Oven Cleaner, blue can, fumeless. The switches will be like new!
