just wondering if anyone is experiencing or has experience sticky buttons in your 458? if so any means to prevent it and all?? Staying in an Asian country, its kinda hard to run away from the heat and humidity of a tropical region. Reducing the time the car spends in the car and covering it with those breathable covers does delay the whole sticky button process but wondering if there are other options anyone else has tried.
I had this problem with my 599 , send it to dealer , they fix it for free. They asked me to pay around $600 but when I got the car they said that the warranty cover it. I dont see any sticky buttons on my 458 until now.
Yeah...sticky buttons..it's getting replaced as well just wondering if there'd was a better solution for this age old problem..had the same issue with my Maserati GT as well...
Buttons on my 2015 458 just turned sticky. I used SEM Soap and a scrubber. Better than new. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I1DJDG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My F430 buttons and door pulls were getting very sticky. I tried some of the homemade solutions online but it worked on some buttons, but on other buttons it'd just wipe off the black paint to expose the white plastic. Eventually I found a vendor who did a fantastic job. It took me probably total of 6 hours to remove the buttons and re-install the refinished ones. Turn-around time was about 3-4 weeks IIRC. That vendor has been banned from this site. Not sure why. You can PM me for the info. A few of my '13 458 buttons are starting to get sticky. Most notably the garage door remote under the mirror. I'm gonna give it a couple more years to let all the sticky buttons reveal themselves and then do it in one felt swoop. Theres nothing you can do to stop this process. It's inherent in the materials that Ferrari and many other exotic manufacturers use.
