I have a 2004 coupe. It's like the norm and is getting sticky interior parts. I know it's very expensive to have them redone. I have been trying my own fix. This isn't like new, but a lot better than the sticky, fuzzy mess I had before. I went to the auto paint store, and got some interior vinyl spray paint. Get the flattest black you can get. I cleaned my center and A/C vents with alcohol, dried them, and started with 3 coats of paint. It will go on a little bumpy. Sand with 400 paper. More coats. More sanding. Be careful not to sand into the original stick stuff. Then finish with 2 coats of flat clear. Like I said,, not like new, but it wont be sticky and pick up fuzz anymore

It's just a Hell of a thing that a $100K car would have this kind of problem in the first place. But I'm glad you've found a way to deal with it.

Yeah, you'd expect that on a $250K car like a Ferrari.........;-)

I just finished my center A/C vents. I washed them with soapy water first, then sprayed them. They came out perfect. No more sticky. $30 to do all my air vents. Not a bad DIY fix for such a bad problem.

I'm interested in exploring a legal action against Maserati/Ferrari for this obvious defect. This condition really prevents a resale at full value. Maybe this is why they permit this to continue and refuse to repair at their expense.

You want to start legal action over a $30 fix! It doesn't take a genius to figure about how most car guys are going to feel about taking such action.

if it was a $30 fix Maserati would gladly pay...the labor to remove and reinstall switches, buttons, vents, handles, etc is where the big expense is...several thousands$
