I just bought my first Ferrari. A 2004 360 Spyder. Am reading all i can about it. It has some sticky mats in th foot wells that have a sign on them that says "tob removed by Ferrari dealer only" Are they original adn never been remove or what? Can I remove them? Are they just the under carpet and I didn't get the original mats or carpet? Any ideas. Thanks

Do you think it was purposely left as a protection for the carpet and mats?

Does anyone know what it takes to remove the clear plastic covering? Any danger to the fabric if done incorrectly?

This was put on by the selling dealer to protect the carpet and mats from dirt. Go look at Marshall Goldman's website and you will see that they do the same thing on all the cars they sell. You simply peel it off. But I will say this from experience....I have found these to leave some "sticky" residue on the carpet at time. Regardless, it is meant to be removed.

Just pull it off, it is done after detailing the vehicle as stated above my post.

As everyone have said some dealership put those on to protect carpet and panels from scratches before vehicle is sold.

    It should pull right off.

Here is a tip to minimize residue: Slowly peel "Saran wrap" off. Allow sticky glue to remain with the tape and not stay on the carpet or panel. If you pull too fast the gooey stuff will stay with the carpets and panel so good easy.
