It's a bit early to asses that new series.
Probably that racing will quickly bring a lot of development.
What seems weird, so far, is that drivers will have to change cars mid-race because the battery will be drained out.
Perhaps it would have been better to plan several short races at each event to satisfy the low battery capacity, instead of a longer one.

Or they could have just had a pit stop to swap the battery. 2 cars just seems odd.

A-list drivers? granted there's a few great drivers in there but most of them are F1 and Indycar also-rans.

    :)

Trulli may not have been a WDC, but he had a really long run in F1 - Second behind dear old Rubens in starts IIRC. Some of the other guys that have signed up are hardly what I'd call tossers either!..... Just getting to that level (without paying mega $) puts you firmly on the 'A-list' IMO.

That they're also planning to run 'downtown' street courses is pretty cool too. They may not make any noise, but they look pretty quick - at least until the batteries start to run down anyway...... I too wish them well with it.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Why not make the race a two day affair. They can stop and interview the driver's and teams when the batteries are dead and stretch out the spectacle. What a joke or is F1 the joke with its new MCU electric mandates?

They make noise. Check the vid. Motor scream with tire, gearbox and aero notes in the mix. Sort-of eerie future sounding.

Maybe the races could be a double-bill with HGP. Old farts vs. gen next with FTD taking the trophy! Something for everyone.

Sorry, with all the B&M'ing going on in the f1 section, I should have said 'they don't make the expected vroom-vroom' noises! ;)

Now *that* would be friggin' awesome!.... Can you imagine some v12s etc around the streets of London!?.....

    Cheers,
    Ian
