I have done some research about higher running temperature for the 456M and came across the post on the SPAL Extreme fan Part Number: 30102113 which has been installed on several 550 with good success. My car runs consistently around 190 and never has approached the red zone - still been in Texas I am always worried about rising temps. I don't want to relocatethe battery an am using an Optima red top which is rated for higher temps. Has anyone installed the fans in a 456? Is everyone still happy with their decision? What "pigtail" connection in needed for the Ferrari - part number?.
    TIA

Hey.. I was looking into that a great deal. There are some threads on the forums.. do a search you will find some people have done it. I have spoken with Spal a few times. One thing to watch out is that extreme is not water and dust proof I believe.. You have to watch out for that.. There are people even relocating the battery in order to keep it cool and increase amp that goes to the fan. I personally think that it is overkill..

I ended up not changing them. Good luck

I have the Spal 3000CFNs and in the Fall and early spring it takes a while to get the car itself up to operating temp. They work so well that the needle stays hard to the left most of the time.
