For the first time today I've noticed that when you select Race mode in the 430 the time is displayed under the word RACE.
Why is that and it doesn't appear on the other settings to the left of that dial position?

Likely because of the lively, aggressive handling possible in Race Mode. Ferrari probably wanted to give a second visual clue/reminder (besides the Manettino switch) that the car is set to Race Mode and not one of the three road driving modes.

For example, let's say the driver left the car in Race Mode the last time it was driven. The next time out may involve poor weather conditions, and Race Mode's aggressive stability control thresholds aren't the safest choice. Seeing "Race" lit up on the dash reminds the driver to select the appropriate driving mode.

IIRC, it's the same for the CST OFF mode.

I had a thought that it might have something to do with a warning system.
