Wanted to make sure everyone saw the thread in the Wisconsin Region about Stirling Moss appearing at the Wisconsin Sports Car Club's 50th Anniversary party as the guest of honor. It's on Saturday, Jan. 29 and non-members may purchase tickets. There's a link in the original thread for details. Could be a great opportunity to meet one of the all-time greats.

Moss is mean, next he will say he can beat all the FOC Midwest guys at that indoor kart racing gig. I had some real hope for Jenson winning it all this year... and Sammy Sosa was going to be traded to Minardi.

If the chances of Sosa going to Minardi were as good as the odds of Button NOT winning the championship, I'd be one very happy Cubs fan!

It's refreshing to hear the opinion of someone in touch with racing yet not pushing an agenda. Meanwhile, 180 degrees from reality, DC continues to dazzle members of the press with stories about how good he thinks Sauber should be in '05...

You sure he is talking about Sauber? Don't you mean Red Bull? In which case he is 180 degrees from reality.

Sauber OTOH I'm really hopeful they're gonna have another personal best season and chances are they will with Ferraripower, Michelins and the new wind tunnel.

PS: I "met" Stirling Moss at Goodwood last year. Any racing enthusiast MUST in his/her lifetime make the pilgrimage to Goodwood (either festival) where you can be face to face to your Gods. I stood next to him as he climbed into his Mercedes Silberpfeil to take on the hill climb.
