I seem to recall an Austin Healey or MGA there a lot too (?) maybe the owners, maybe he has a really good client who is a car guy? also, I saw FatCab's friend's Cobra Daytona Coupe on the Fast Lane Cars website. interesting.
On my way home from work I saw a black 599 turning into Carondelet from Hanley around 7:20 or so. I know Bentley's aren't really spots (even though they are great cars in my opinion), but, it's not every day that you see a white Supersports (on Wydown Saturday). It was the first time I've ever seen one and it sounds a lot more throaty than the normal GT or GT Speed. The owner said he got it a week earlier and seemed to be enjoying it.

Looks like the one that was on Craigslist recently. I believe the same owner also had a Mondial T cab for sale too.
No spots beyond the usual parade of German iron and the occasional Bentley, but today I drove several Bimmers at Autohaus BMW as part of their Drive for Team USA event. Overall impression- it's still hard to beat BMW at their game. I drove the CTS and 328i back-to-back, followed by the 335i, then the 5 Series v. E-Class, and the 7 Series v. S-Class. Then I drove the 6 Series convertible, and after a quick blast down I-44 and back, it took a few hours for the smile to fade from my face! I'd give the win to BMW in each head-to-head battle, save for the 7 vs. S-Class, which would be a draw in my opinion. Throw in the new A8, and then we'd really have a showdown. I especially wanted to like the Cadillac better than the 3 Series, and perhaps it's because I tend to root for the underdog. But now I've driven the 3 Series several times, and after some seat time back-to-back with the Caddy, there's no question why the 3 Series gets so much more love than anything else in its segment from automotive journalists in my opinion. Hey, I know it's an F-car forum, but it was a cool event. I think Autohaus had the last driving event in the St. Louis area, but it looks like this is taking place at Isringhausen Imports in Springfield on Tuesday for those of you in Illinois with time to kill then...
Got a ride in this 1985 308 GTSi QV today..it was nice! I much prefer the modern Lambos I have ridden in though Jeff Kennedy - this is the 308 that you helped me get info for. The owner once again told me how appreciative he was for that info, so thanks again! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today I spotted a black 599GTB Fiorano with black wheels in Shrewsbury at Weil and Shrewsbury avenues, of all places, followed by a white Bentley Continental Supersports at Skinker Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway. And while the next spot wasn't exotic, it was certainly rare, as I saw a 1980s Alfa Romeo Milano at the Rock Hill Starbucks this morning.
I loved those Alfa Sedans from the late 80s. I came within a hearbeat of buying a mint 164 when I lived in Cali but was seduced at the last minute by an 88 M5. The Alfa was red, beautiful, and torque steered more than any car in history. The BMW was black, matronly, and went sideways at the drop of a hat while screaming like a chainsaw cutting metal. It was actually a really tough choice, but I made $500 on the BMW and drove it 35,000 miles. Bill
