I heard a cs and it sounded great,. Dare I say better than my 430. I have a tubi ( no valves) set up on my 430 and have honestly never been in love with the sound. It came on the car and never thought much of it or to change it. Will my 430 sound pretty much the same as a cs if I put a stock 430 exhaust on it. I was thinking this would be a great set up with the valves and getting a remote to open and close them would perfect it and be relatively low cost point.

No it won’t, while the F430 and the CS have similarly designed exhaust and muffler systems, the F430 won’t sound like a 360 or CS based on the way the engine was designed, particularly the 360 platform has 5 valves per cylinder over the 4 on the F430 which gives it a different tone.

So if you like the tone of the CS, you won’t get it on a F430; but if you like the ability to muffle the exhaust due to the addition of the valves then yes, you can get that feature by going back to the stock F430 system.

Thanks for the insight - I was aware of the 5 valves vs 4 cylinders. 5 valves likely lets more air into the combustion chamber, but the 430 is also a bigger motor so I thought it may compensate a little. When I hear videos of the two they sound pretty similar, but video does not really ever depict the true sound. I think I am going to go to the stock exhaust and add headers.

Honestly, 5-valve motors ALWAYS sound better. This is subjective, of course, but I consider myself an authority, because I know what I like, hahaha.

Were I you, I'd take a moment to review this thread:
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/kline-innovation-exhaust.555482/

I did a lot of online listening and had come to the conclusion that this was the way to go. But after reading through this thread and the experiences others had in person, I feel even better about having made that decision.
I eventually found a car (one of those int he thread) that already HAD this exhaust when I bought it. As I was shopping, this was part of the consideration; that I'd be buying a Kline system if it didn't already have it.
