Guys, On my 1997 F355B my brake light (red exclamation) lit up on the dashboard the other day and noticed that the fluid level was low in the reservior. Took it to the shop and was topped up and checked for leaks. No leaks detected. Driving home the brake light came on again. Couple of questions: 1. What is the normal brake pedal travel that should be expected before the brakes really start to grab? My bimmer for comparison has about 1" of pedal travel before the brakes bind hard enough to throw my passenger out through the windshield. 2. What could be the cause of this light appearing, and re-appearing? The brake pedal feels solid and brakes are solid, just that there is lots of travel (in my opinion) as well as the dummy light telling me something is wrong.
Figured it out guys. Had some air in the driver side rear brake line. Burped it all out and all is good. )
