I think the 1998 and earlier had a Sony XR-F20 radio unit. Google this "ferrari f355 OEM radio site:www.ferrarichat.com"
There was a Becker option as well 96+. Probably varied by market too. Possibly different in 95 than 96+. There was not one and only one radio in all 355's as far as I know. My guess is it was an option too. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Main difference is the “RDS” feature, which was more of a euro/asia thing at the time. North America would have received only non-RDS units, while ROW received RDS units regardless of MY.
The '95 (and subsequently the '94 MY) didn't come with a radio. They came pre-wired for one with speakers and wiring but you had to buy the radio unit yourself and have it installed.
All Serie Fioranos, which are primarily late 99 MY production, were equipped with the fugly Becker headunits. There are many 99 MY’s that came equipped with Sony head units.
Broken by the time I got it. Funny story. The car was advertised with the Ferrari radio. Image Unavailable, Please Login When it was delivered it came with this: Image Unavailable, Please Login I called and told the dealer I wanted the Ferrari radio since that was what it I believed I was buying. He said he though he was doing me a favor because the Ferrari radio didn't work. Might have been true but I insisted I wanted the Ferrari radio and he agreed to send it to me. This was about a month after the sale was agreed upon. The car had been at a shop having a major done before delivery. So, obviously he was holding on to that "broken" radio for some reason. I should have sent it out to get fixed years ago. Now I'm afraid that if I do it won't come back.
Why are you afraid it won't come back??...Smart that you had them give it to you..The Sony radio broken is worth more broken
Depending on what’s broken about it, try to find the cheaper “Sony” equivalent to use for parts. I have both the “Ferrari” Sony and an equivalent Sony just in case.
Won't power up. Probably in a regulator of power transistor. Things worth more than the should be worth have a tendency to go missing in shipping. Try insuring it. UPS, "What's in it?" Me, "A car radio." UPS "What do you want to insure it for?" Me, "$5,000". UPS,
@johnk... Which Sony radio boxes is the Ferrari Sony compatible with? Can it work with a C720, C620, or C610 or others?
Radio box referring to the radio unit without the face plate. I just checked a Ferrari Sony (F21RDS) and a Sony XR-C610 … the face plates are interchangeable. As in.. they clip on each other’s boxes. However, these aren’t mounted on the car hence not powered up. I’m not sure if the faceplates will function normally on a different box.
It's times like this that I'm glad my F355 Challenge has fan switches and a shielded master ignition switch instead of a radio... Image Unavailable, Please Login The shielded master ignition switch is operated just like the emergency switch that fires the bomb doors explosive bolts in a B-52 Stratofortress... 4:21
Only time I turn the radio on in my car is when I'm working on something and I want to listen to music.
